About First XV

First XV was set up as a family run business and has recently celebrated its 12th Birthday. The brief then, which we stick to today, was to set up a specialist rugby store that would cater to Edinburgh's fanatical rugby enthusiasts who we felt were being left out by the trend towards large out of town sports retailers specialising in tracksuits and trainers. Not only have we fulfilled this for our loyal, local customers, we have seen customers traveling large distances across Scotland for that must have piece of rugby kit. Not to mention Edinburgh's massive tourist population, who will think nothing of the short journey out of the centre of town to ensure they get the Authentic and Official Canterbury Scotland Kit which is lacking in the tourist stores.

We have only and will only ever stock Authentic and Official Rugby merchandise and kit dealing direct with the the worlds most prestigious rugby brands such as Adidas , Canterbury , Glibert , Kooga , Mizuno , Nike , Oakley , Opro , Puma , Samurai , Skins and Under Armour .

All the staff and partners at First XV have a rugby background. We have first hand experience of playing rugby and the many injuries suffered along the way and can therefore give out the best advice available about our product range from rugby boots to shoulder and head protection .

First XV has been trading online @ rugbystuff.com since 2003 and has seen sales dramatically increasing year on year. In January of 2009 we launced our brand new website which has many new user friendly functions designed to create a superb shopping experience for our customers. It is our policy that, where possible, everything seen on the site and the sizes displayed are available and in stock and ready for immediate dispatch - place your order before 2pm on a weekday and we'll dispatch it that very afternoon.

As well as our own site, we also operate a successful clearance outlet through eBay. In November 2010 First XV expanded to incorporate Europe's first shop dedicated to the brand of Under Armour. The Under Armour store is situated at 2 Haymarket Terrace, right next to First XV in Edinburgh and was born out of the passion that the partners and staff at First XV have for the brand.

We believe Under Armour represents some of the coolest performance apparel on the market and at an unrivalled quality. Under Armour is always making you better. Setting up this unique partnership has allowed us to branch out in to other sports and sectors including golf, running and general training apparel, as well as offering a dedicated Womens and Kids section.

For those familiar with Edinburgh, we are located on the main road between the city centre and Scotland's home ground at Murrayfield Stadium. If you are lucky enough to be in Edinburgh on an international match day you will find us extremely busy and packed with Scotland gear and of course the oppositions kit as well. We will usually extend our opening hours around the kick off time to allow for an after-match shopping experience.

The shop is situated at 6-8 Haymarket Terrace. Heading west from Haymarket Train Station, we are approximately 50 metres walk, located on the right hand side.

We do not close for any Bank Holidays, Public Holidays or Local Holidays bar Christmas and New Year, so if just have to try on a pair of boots the store should almost always be there to serve you.
