# SISU Mouthguards

## About Sisu Mouthguards

The core of the Sisu range is the material. Sisu guards are made from a perforated, non-compressed thermoplastic that sets around the individual contours of your teeth when moulded - producing a fit that holds tightly without needing extra bulk to stay in place.

The Sisu 3D is the thinner of the two options at 1.0mm on the inside, 2.0mm on the outside, designed for players who want the least possible interference with breathing and speech. It's a popular choice for [backs](https://www.rugbystuff.com/collections/rugby-boots-for-backs "rugby boots for backs"), scrum-halves, and any player for whom communication is a regular part of their game.

The Sisu Max adds more material at 2.4mm for increased impact absorption, making it better suited to forwards or players in high-contact positions who want more protection without stepping up to a bulkier guard.
