Warmer days are on the horizon and Canterbury have timed their run with perfection with the release of their latest Spring/Summer Collection.
Everything you could need for the great old British Summer or travelling to warmer climates is catered for, T-Shirts and Shorts are the staple but with a Polo-Shirt, Gillet, Thermo Top & Trackies Bottoms to cover all eventualities. If you buy the lot you’ll be better co-ordinated than Paul Gustards Wolf Pack in full defensive mode.
Canterbury have gone for it on the colour palette and has unearthed beautiful shades with names such as Jasmine Green, Eclipse Blue, Atomic Orange and Skydiver Blue. Yes your mates and surely the ladies will be ready to make a ‘Dive' for this collection!
So what better way for us humble amateur’s to pay homage to this crème de le crème of stash as for it to adorn the bodies of full-time professional rugby players. Honed bodies at the ready – here we go.
Manu VatuveiTeam: New Zealand WarriorsHeight: 189cm Weight: 109kg
The top-scoring wing of the Warriors not only sports 29 caps for New Zealand at rugby league but also some pretty tasty training stash as well, spotted here dominating the prowler in the gym. He wears the Men's Vapodri Graphic Tee & Vapodri Woven Gym Shorts, in this shot he looks well and truly mongrel and ready to tear any defense to shreds.
James O’ConnorTeam: ToulonHeight: 180cm Weight: 88kg
This 44 time capped playboy of Australian rugby sure knows how to enjoy himself on and off the field. And when the suns out he certainly know what to do. Yes – get the guns out. Modelling the Vapodri Singlet he casually looks like he is ready to ghost through a defensive line. He’ll be kept cool by the Vapodri technology so is sure to be looking fresh come the end of the session for his adoring fans.

We like the look of James O’Connor so much we’ve even given him his own album! #mancrush
Shaun JohnsonTeam: New Zealand WarriorsHeight: 179cm Weight: 89kg
Adding another New Zealand Warriors rugby league player to the endorsement list is 14 times capped goal kicking half back Shaun Johnson. Putting in some serious graft for the camera he is seen here chucking something over 100kg over his head, no mean feat, especially when that is over his bodyweight. Good lift indeed. Wearing the Vapodri Superlight Tee in Skydiver blue he will not have to worry about his kit getting in the way of his session.
So it’s two to one in the modelling stakes to the rugby league players, what does this say about the looks of our Rugby Union players? Less conditioned? More battered faces from rucking? Who knows, either way whether rocking a sevens tournament or turning your off season training up to 11 you’ll be looking the part in Canterbury’s meticulous new range of kit. Enjoy!
