Ireland launch 2023 Rugby World Cup bid
On Monday 15th November 2016, Irish Rugby released their epic campaign video, as they aim to win the bid to host the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
The video, narrated by actor Liam Neeson, features not only rugby highlights such as Connacht's 2015/16 Pro12 win, Doug Howlett leading the Munster haka, Ireland's historic win over the All Blacks in Chicago and Munster winning the 2006 Heineken Cup, but also iconic Irish landmarks like The Giant's Causeway, and even Riverdance!
But it's not just rugby icons. Also making appearances are John F Kennedy, Barack and Michelle Obama, Bill Gates and Bono.
The response from Irish rugby players and fans alike has been incredibly positive on social media.
Bizzare seeing any negative comments about the 2023 World Cup bid. Would be incredible for the sport and Ireland if successful #Ireland2023

If Ireland win the bid ahead of South Africa and France, it's sure to be some party on the Emerald Isle come 2023!
