Coronavirus Update

Here at First XV Rugbystuff.com, we wanted to give you some reassurance and an update on our situation with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

As an independent, family-run business, the health and well-being of our employees and customers is at the heart of everything we do, so as COVID-19 continues to spread, we want to ensure the safety of all parties.

We will not be re-opening our store on 29th June.

For re-opening to be a viable option, we need to receive stock from our suppliers for the 2020/21 season, and this is likely to be mid-July at the earliest. 

If you have an urgent need for something, please give us a call on 0131 609 3215 or send a message to our social media channels, and we will do our utmost to accommodate you. 

Rugbystuff.com, our online store, remains open for business. As before, to help mitigate the spread of the virus, we are moving to smaller staffing numbers and will be operating at reduced hours.

As things things stand, Royal Mail are still operating as normal, but please be patient as shipping times may be affected.

We are continually monitoring the situation and ensuring we are following the latest governmental advice. We will continue to update our policies and guidance as appropriate to ensure a safe environment when you visit or order from Rugbystuff.com.

Our orders are dispatched with Royal Mail, and the folliwing is an extract from their website regarding the coronavirus. 

In order to protect both our people and customers as much as possible, we will not be handing over our hand-held devices to customers to capture signatures. Postmen and women will instead log the name of the person accepting the item. This will apply to all deliveries that require a signature. 

Additionally, for all customers (including those who are self-isolating) where we need to deliver any parcel that won’t fit through your letterbox, we will place your item at your door. Having knocked on your door, we will then step aside to a safe distance while you retrieve your item. This will ensure your item is delivered securely rather than being left outside. 

If you are unable to come to the door at all we will issue a ‘Something for You’ card, advising of other ways you can arrange to get your item. For example, by getting a friend or family member to collect the parcel from our local Customer Service Point on your behalf. In this situation, and to keep your mail as secure as possible, they will need to bring along the card we left you and a form of ID in the name of the person the item is addressed to.
