Scottish Rugby Shirt History
Scotland traditionally has played in all navy blue shirt, white shorts and navy socks since their inception on Monday 27 March 1871. Scotland played an England XX at Raeburn Place in Edinburgh that day after a group of Scots players issued a challenge to the English players in the newspapers the Scotsman and Bell's life.
The combination went largely unchanged until Cotton Oxford took over the SRU kit contract in the late 1990s. They introduced purple to the home strip and controversially a bright orange to the away strip which had previously always been white.
Manufacturers Umbro, Pringle, Cotton Oxford, Canterbury and Macron have all had stints manufacturing the shirt. Macron, an Italian sportswear manufacturer, has held the current license since 2013 with the current contract running through to 2026.
This season's shirt will be worn in the in the 2022 November Test Series at BT Murrayfield, where Scotland host Australia, Fiji, Argentina and New Zealand, as well as the 2023 Guinness Six Nations.

Name & Number - £10 - Up to 12 characters for the name and 3 for the number. Printed across the shoulders and back.
