You may have missed it, but Newcastle's Scottish prop Jon Welsh did something that most forwards can only dream of in his side's Aviva Premiership win over Bath on Friday 6th January 2017.

Not content with gathering the ball and bursting over the halfway line, the former Glasgow Warriors forward rumbled past the 10m line, then when approaching the 22, he almost did the impossible. Just look at the height and distance in that chip, it's almost perfect! Only for Bath's Anthony Watson to spoil everyone's fun and call the mark.

However, he's not the only one - remember this from Edinburgh's WP Nel back in 2013?!

Or Gethin Jenkins impressive charge down against Ireland.

Although not every piece of skill is beneficial for the team. In this game, Waratahs needed to win and score 4 tries to qualify for the Super Rugby semi-finals. With time running out and only two tries on the board, Matt Dunning attempted a drop goal so that the referee would come back to a penalty called earlier. That only works if the drop goal attempt misses...

Thanks to The Pen for the Jon Welsh clip. Make sure you give him a follow for all things Glasgow Warriors (and awesome pictures of his son with pretty much every famous rugby player to visit Scotstoun!)
