About the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation

Doddie Weir OBE was one of Scottish rugby's most loved figures - a towering lock who won 61 caps for Scotland and played for the Lions, known as much for his personality and his tartan suits as for his rugby. In 2017 he was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, and in response he founded the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation with his family to raise money for MND research and to support those living with the disease.

Doddie passed away in November 2022, but the foundation continues its work in his name. It has raised millions of pounds for MND research and remains one of the most visible and active MND charities in the UK. The tartan - Doddie's tartan, a bold multicolour design that became his trademark - is the visual identity of the foundation and appears across the merchandise range.

      My Name'5 Doddie OddBalls Merchandise

OddBalls are one of the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation's official merchandise partners. The current range at Rugbystuff.com includes:

The Doddie tartan boxer shorts for men, kids boxer shorts, and women's pants - all carrying the distinctive Doddie tartan print that was synonymous with Doddie throughout his career and his years with the foundation. The OddBalls construction is practical and well-made - these aren't novelty-only items, they're worn regularly by supporters of the foundation.

      Doddie Tartan Blanket

The Doddie tartan blanket is a proper blanket in the foundation's tartan colourway, practical for home use and a meaningful purchase for anyone who followed Doddie's story. It makes a straightforward gift for rugby supporters or anyone touched by MND.

      Doddie Beanie & Bobble Hats

The My Name'5 Doddie bobble beanies are one of the more searched items in the foundation merchandise range and have been popular with supporters who want something to wear to matches or outdoors.
