Rugby protective headgear features a lightweight foam to cover your head. While they don’t completely prevent major injuries like concussions, they do add protection by:

Scrum helmets benefit all players, whether they’re adults or kids. However, they’re most commonly worn by forwards, including:

• Locks

• Flankers 

A rugby headguard and a scrum cap are the same. Both refer to the protective headgear worn when playing rugby. However, “Scrum cap” is the more commonly used term among rugby players and fans.
