Gilbert Octane Headguard Black/Green
The Octane is Gilbert's entry-level headguard, and it's an impressive one. The design borrows from higher up the Gilbert range, so you're getting the padded chinstrap, the classic rear colour block, and the recognisable forehead panels without paying top-end money. For junior players or anyone coming to headguards for the first time, it hits the right balance between coverage, comfort, and price.
The panel layout is worth mentioning. Gilbert have gone with larger panels rather than lots of smaller segmented pieces, which means more material covering the areas that actually take impact, particularly across the forehead and crown.

Names - £6 - Up to 13 characters, printed across the shoulders.
Numbers - £6 - Up to 2 numbers, printed across the back.
Name & Number - £10 - Up to 13 characters for the name and 2 for the number. Printed across the shoulders and back.
