O'Neills was founded in Dublin in 1918 by Charles O'Neill, originally making Gaelic footballs and hurling balls from a workshop on Capel Street. The business expanded into kit manufacturing over the following decades and is now the largest sportswear manufacturer in Ireland, with production plants in Dublin and Strabane. O'Neills produces its own fabric in house, covering knitting, dyeing, cutting, printing and embroidery under one roof, and supplies teamwear to thousands of clubs across Gaelic games, rugby league, rugby union, football and other sports worldwide.
