O'Neills was founded in Dublin in 1918 by Charles O'Neill, originally making Gaelic footballs and hurling balls from a workshop on Capel Street. The business expanded into kit manufacturing over the following decades and is now the largest sportswear manufacturer in Ireland, with production plants in Dublin and Strabane.
