Melbourne Storm's 2026 ANZAC Round jersey, worn in the Club's ANZAC Day clash against South Sydney, marks the 85th anniversary of the Siege of Tobruk. Australia's 9th Division held the Libyan port city for 242 days in 1941 against German forces, in one of the longest sieges in British military history. The nickname 'Rats of Tobruk', coined as an insult by German propaganda, became a badge of honour for the defenders.
