The Icon Vapour is Gilbert's forward-facing answer to the growing demand for boots that don't feel like you're wearing a brick. It's built around a knitted upper, which gives you that adaptive fit without the bulk you'd expect from a boot designed to take punishment in the tight. The embossed weld detailing in the forefoot and midfoot is doing real structural work here, not just aesthetic dressing. Those reinforced zones are what keeps the boot holding its shape when you're grinding through a scrum or fighting for the ball at the bottom of a ruck.

The wider base platform is a deliberate forward-specific call. It gives you a broader footprint for planting and driving, which matters in set piece and close-quarter contact where balance and power transfer are everything.
